Seven Shelves

Drink one,
keep six.

A cellar for pu'er collectors. Photograph a wrapper and the cake lands on your shelf.

Seven to a tong

Classic pu'er wrappers are printed 七子饼茶, "seven sons cake tea," because cakes are sold seven to a bamboo-wrapped stack called a tong. Collectors buy a tong, drink one cake, and let the other six age. Seven Shelves is where those six wait.

What it does

  1. Photograph a wrapper

The app reads the producer, recipe and year printed on it, and the cake lands on your shelf with its weight and age. No typing. When it isn't sure, it shows three guesses.

  2. Bring your spreadsheet

Sign in here with a code from the app and import the list you keep now. A 150-row sheet takes minutes, not an evening.

  3. Know what's left

Log a session and its grams come off the cake. Your shelf shows what's sealed, what's open and where each tea lives.

Every cake, printed like its wrapper

Rim text in the tea's ink, a seal for its age, and seven bars for the tong: sealed in jade, opened in vermilion.
